I love classics and bold experiment
I have always been fascinated by the masters of the old school, but still did not seek to frankly imitate them, firstly, because it is impossible, and if it were possible, it would not make sense, because art must develop and change with time, and every master eventually has to find his own style. I am talking about individuality and resonance with the surrounding reality, no matter how deeply the artist goes into his own world.
A sunflower - a flower that reflects the sun - cannot but have magical powers. The many seeds that he gives birth to are a symbol of the abundance that sunlight produces. Black center and fiery petals - darkness and light. Working on the drawing helped me “see the flower from the inside”, feel it. It was the light that I wanted to emphasize in the drawing, so I applied the “Shine” effect. Everything that reflects and absorbs the sun's rays must emit light itself. We are also children of the sun. We must shine for ourselves, for each other, for the world. And our seeds must sprout: everything begun, laid in us, conceived, good, must ripen and sprout, be born into the world, because these are the seeds of life and light.

Girl and Vase
I consider this hand-drawn ink drawing to be my finest work. There was no technique, skill, professionalism behind it. This is pure angelic energy. I was trying to study art at the time. I was in graduate school doing research in math. And at the same time I studied painting after classes. Realistic drawing and painting were very difficult for me. But I did my best, spending hours at art school and working with other students, even though I wasn't really a student. I just asked to be allowed to attend classes. So, I tried very hard to draw some kind of realistic still life, but I couldn’t manage it. I felt frustrated and tired. So, I came home, took pen and ink, and then a miracle happened. The image seemed to have arisen on paper by itself. I didn't know how it happened, but I understood that it was something amazing. No mistakes were made. The flowers came after I accidentally dropped a large blot and thought I had ruined my work...

Art is the line where the impossible comes into contact with reality. The artist cannot exactly recreate reality, but he creates a new one. And each time it is a new journey into a new, unknown world. We know reality only by becoming its co-creators. And it takes courage.
